Lucía Vidal was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She studied Graphic Design at ORT Argentina and Traditional Animation at Sheridan College Canada (earned the High Honors award). In 2004, Lucía won the DreamWorks SKG Scholarship Award.
She worked for many years in traditional 2D and 3D animation for feature films, tv shows and commercials, in Buenos Aires and Toronto.
Between 2012 and 2019 she was dedicated to creating children’s illustrations for Owoko, a children’s clothing company. She also worked in the editorial field, her last work being illustrating “¡Toc Toc!” (with texts by Graciela Montes) for Loqueleo Santillana.
As an entrepreneur, she released three games: “InfiniCuentos 1”, “InfiniCuentos 2 – infancia” and “Formas”. They are used by teachers, psychologists, psychopedagogists, by kids and adults as well, to play at home and in many other environments. InfiniCuentos.com
Lucía taught illustration, creativity, and arts and play workshops at Espacio Libre.
Nowadays, in addition to her traditional 2D animation job for a variety of companies, she works as a professor at the University of Cinematography, teaching drawing for animation.
Since 2015, she has been a member of the Steering Committee of ADA (Argentinian Illustrators Association).
